German Glass Glitter: how to many anything look like it is covered in ice

German Glass Glitter is different from any other type of glitter, in that it is made from finely ground glass. This makes it expensive, and dangerous around children. It is used to make any object look frozen over. Great for Christmas decorations.

First paint your item the same base color as the glitter. This will prevent you from seeing a different color behind the glitter. We have found the best glue to use is Elmer’s Washable School Glue No Run Gel. It looks like a blue gel and will dry clear and is best applied with a paintbrush. Apply the glue, and then press the item into a bowl or plate holding the glitter. It is not recommended to spoon the glitter over the product, because the glass glitter may bounce all over your work area.
